How To Increase Your Energy - Secrets Revealed!

Have you always envied people who have a higher energy level and seem to just be brimming with LIFE? If yes, it is fairly certain that you appear to drag yourself out of bed and go unwillingly to the office every day.

If you lack the enthusiasm and zeal to go about your life, and if you blame your low energy level for that, then it is time for you to sit up and really do something about it!

If your target is to gain more energy for having a healthy course of life, you must know that there are two kinds of energy.

  • One energy is physical.
  • One energy is spiritual.

Spiritual energy or mental energy is the most important of all. The mind provides you the power and the strength you need to go ahead in life. The energy that you need physically will have to be transferred to your body from your mind. Mentally, you should be strong and determined. It is only then that you will feel energetic.

How to Gain Energy

For boosting up your physical energy, you need to do two things.

Exercise regularly - at least 3 times a week.
Eat healthy foods on a daily basis.

You'll find that doing these two things will add the zeal and enthusiasm to your body that you've been looking for. When you want to charge up your body with energy, you also need to give it sufficient resting time by sleeping eight hours a day. When you sleep, your body rebuilds what has been torn down during physical exercise. So, have proper sleep everyday! This will leave you refreshed every new morning - the dawn will welcome a new YOU, all energized and jolly everyday!

Remember that low energy reveals your negative points, your confidence and self esteem levels are also down and you are far from living a healthy and positive life.

Healthy Digestion

Healthy Digestion and Your Diet

Fruits and vegetables, cereals and grains are the best offerings of nature. They all have many health benefits and nutritional value. However, our body is not able to digest and absorb everything in an equal manner. Food is the prime source of nutrition for the body. The body gets its nutrition from the proper digestion of food. Therefore, you should feed on the foods that are easy to digest and healthy for the digestive system.

Five Easy Tips to Help Your Digestive System

  • Chew the food thoroughly and reduce it to liquid pulp before swallowing it.
  • Reduce intake of wheat, as it is a digestive irritant. Instead, feed on wheat-free pasta, rye bread, oatcakes, brown rice and oat cereals.
  • Eat less refined foods and sugar as these encourage the formation and growth of bad bacteria in your gut.
  • Enrich your diet with fiber-rich vegetables and fruits as these encourage the formation and growth of good bacteria in the gut.
  • Include into your diet supplementing digestive probiotics and enzymes in case you suffer stomach upset, indigestion or constipation.
Foods Good for Detoxification

Some foods generate toxin in the body while some detoxify the body. Foods with detoxifying factors are the following:

  • Fruit - Almost all the fruits are full of health benefits. Fruits with detoxifying potentiality include apricots, berries, kiwi, papaya, mango, peaches, red grapes, melons, cantaloupe and citrus fruits. It is better to avoid dried fruits during the detoxification of the body.
  • Vegetables - Fresh vegetables are the best food to feed on in order to detoxify your body. These include peppers, beetroot, broccoli, red cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, kale, spinach, pumpkin, tomato, sweet potato, cucumber, Brussels sprouts, watercress and artichokes. Avocado and white potatoes should be taken in moderation.
  • Sprouted seeds and beans - These include alfalfa, chickpeas, aduki beans, lentils, sprouted mung beans and sunflower seeds.

Drinks good for detoxification

  • Fruit juice
  • Rooibosch tea
  • Herbal tea
  • Dandelion coffee
  • Pure water

Pure water is the best of all drinks and full of nutritional properties. It is not healthy to drink water along with meals. It dilutes digestive juices, leading to impairment of digestion. Drinking two liters of distilled, filtered, purified and bottled water daily is a boost to your health. It is a great detoxifier.

Ways to Keep a Healthy Heart.

Your heart is such a precious organ. It works so very hard sending blood around your body. This blood then provides the body with the nutrients and all the oxygen that it requires.

So keeping your heart healthy is of paramount importance. There are several ways that this can be achieved.

Exercise assists in the improvement of your heart’s function. Not only that, but it also lowers blood pressure and blood cholesterol. Exercise helps to boost your energy levels. Your heart is forced to work that much harder if you are overweight.

The general exercise regime recommended is to try & have at least thirty minutes of physical exercise daily. We are only talking about moderate exercise! Nobody is expecting you to suddenly turn into an exercise fanatic overnight! The good point is that you do not even have to complete the full thirty minutes in one sitting; you could break it into smaller ten-minute sessions.

Your heart rate will benefit more from vigorous exercise, but walking briskly is also a great form of exercise for your heart. Exercise does not always have to include running. You need to choose a form of exercise that you know you will continue to do and to enjoy. Perhaps you can add more exercise to your daily routine by just taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking to work rather than catching a bus or maybe taking a nice walk with a friend who could benefit from some exercise too.

Another way of keeping a healthy heart is to eat sensibly. You need a low fat diet that is also low in salt & cholesterol. You are seeking a diet that is high in fruits, vegetables, grains & fibre.

The trick to following a diet successfully is to not be too hard on yourself. Your heart will not mind if you consume the odd piece of pizza or sneak in a burger once in awhile. Have the healthy salad with a slice of pizza instead of the pizza with fries, or eat the burger but refuse the side order of fries and opt for the fruit salad for desert rather than the chocolate eclair.

Too much fat in your diet can seriously harm your heart so keep to a sensible diet and your heart will maintain its health.

Controlling your blood pressure is another factor for a healthy heart. If you have high blood pressure, your heart works harder and it hardens the walls of the arteries. This increases the risks of heart disease & stroke.

Have regular readings of your blood pressure so you can monitor it and eat healthily. Do not consume too much red meat or sugary foods and drinks. Try not to become stressed, as this increases your blood pressure. Take up a relaxing hobby such as yoga. This is brilliant for your heart as it keeps you calm & focused.
